I thought you were talking about some fan fiction but it's real. That's weird. Maybe they are planning to make a Virtual-On anime. They can use the people from that show as pilots. Although I would prefer it if the robots themselves are sentient like old Transformers cartoons. I don't understand why all shows need to have humans in them.

what I found interesting is the VO4/Marz-style V-converters on the OraTan designs. I don't expect Dreamcast-shaped ones at this point but I thought they'd at least be covered.

reminds me of another interesting thing. if I can trust machine translations even a little, Watari talked about the hypothetical version of Virtual-On they're playing in the novel. uses oratan as a base (vr design/selection + gamespeed), but removes the left turbo function and allows for both 1v1 and 2v2 play.
